Welcome to Sue, Registered Manager – East Coast & Hull

We’re delighted to introduce Sue, who has recently joined Moorview Care as Registered Manager for East Coast and Hull (pending registration).
Sue brings with her over 20 years of experience in social care, beginning her career as a Support Worker working with children and progressing into leadership roles where she has been registered with both CQC and OFSTED. Her experience is grounded in a strong, person-led approach to care, with a clear focus on supporting people to live the lives they choose.
Sue has already begun settling into Moorview Care, having met some of the people we support and members of the team, and this week she was also introduced to some of our families through the Family Working Group.
At the heart of Sue’s practice is a simple belief: doing things “with” people, not “for” them. She is passionate about promoting self-esteem, recognising individual strengths and ensuring that every person is supported in a way that reflects who they are. Sue also places great importance on understanding different communication styles, ensuring that people are truly heard and supported effectively.
Sue describes herself as a 'visible and hands-on manager', keen to be actively involved in the day-to-day lives of our people. She is looking forward to getting stuck in, from supporting inductions to contributing to training, including areas such as Makaton and specialist Autism Support.
Having spent 11 years in her previous role, Sue shared that moving on was a significant decision, and it was important for her to join an organisation that truly aligns with her ethos and values, something she feels strongly reflects Moorview Care.
Sue is open, approachable and honest, and wants every member of the Moorview Care Community to feel comfortable speaking with her, sharing ideas and raising any concerns.
