About Us
Moorview Care is a family organisation at heart that has been established for 25 years. Our team is now made up of over 300 dedicated professionals with a wealth of experience in the Health and Social Care industry.
Our Moorview Care Family

Our Moorview Care Family is ever expanding, and we have grown our portfolio of services organically over the years - now with 17 locations across throughout Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington & Hull. Despite our unprecedented growth, we still maintain our family-feel and our family values are still at the heart of everything we do.
We're a leading provider within the Yorkshire and Humber regions, specialising in supporting those with a learning disability and autism. We support over 50 people in shared houses of between 2 and 6 people with additional members of the Moorview Care family being supported in the community.
Our team share the outlook that the people we support come first, and we are there to support them to live their own gloriously ordinary lives. Our philosophy is to enable people by equipping them with the skills and tools for life’s challenges. We have an excellent reputation for supporting people to live the life they choose, with as much joy and laughter as possible.
From Small Beginnings to Transformative Growth
Founded in 2000 with just two care homes and a team of 15, Moorview Care has grown into a flourishing organisation supporting more than 50 people across 17 locations in North Yorkshire and the Humber. Today, our team of over 300 dedicated professionals provides high-quality care, empowering people to live fulfilling lives.
Our growth has been organic, guided by the principle of co-production. From creating bespoke living environments to implementing innovative training programs like Moorview Mentors, the voices of those we support have always been central to our journey.
We pride ourselves on the high-quality, person-centred support that we deliver around the clock. We have an “Outstanding” rating from CQC for our services in Whitby & Scarborough and a “Good” rating for Bridlington & Hull.
We are committed to continuous improvement and collect regular feedback to ensure we are on the right track. One of the things that defines us as a family business is to never operate a service where we wouldn't be happy for one of our own relatives to live and be supported. We constantly ask the question: "Would we be happy if this was the support provided to my Mum or Dad, brother or sister?" and we can honestly say, yes. We couldn't be prouder of the service we provide.

Gloriously Ordinary Lives
at Moorview Care
We believe everyone deserves the chance to live a Gloriously Ordinary Life. Inspired by Social Care Futures, this means living in a place you call home, with people and things you love, in a community where you belong, doing the things that matter to you. It’s not about big achievements, but about the everyday moments that give life meaning, having choice, connection, and a say in how each day unfolds.
When support focuses on what truly matters, people don’t just get by, they live well. Confidence grows, independence flourishes, and those simple moments of joy, the ones that make your heart sing, become part of everyday life. That’s what living a Gloriously Ordinary Life means to us.
