A Night to Celebrate: The Moorview Care Winter Wonderland Ball Invites have been sent! ❄️

How the Celebration Came to Life

At Moorview Care, celebrating our team is something we LOVE to do. Every day, our team brings extraordinary dedication, compassion, resilience and heart to their work. The roles we perform are physically, mentally and emotionally demanding, as Chibundo, Team Leader in Hull, reminded us at our recent Team Voice Forum. And while supporting others brings deep personal satisfaction, it’s just as important that we pause, reflect and celebrate the highly-skilled people who dedicate their lives to supporting others.

This year’s Winter Wonderland Ball is a celebration shaped by the team, for the team, and it all started with Team Voice!

The idea began when Team Voice brought the concept of a team-wide celebration to one of our forums. From there, the momentum grew. A pulse survey gathered views from across the organisation, with each team member sharing their priorities and helping us shape what this event should be; FUN, TEAM-FOCUSSED, LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, A CHANCE TO LET OUR HAIR DOWN, AND GLAMOROUS!

Team Voice then visited the venue, and to say they were impressed would be an understatement. There was a genuine “wow” moment as they walked into The Wonderbar at Impossible in York - a stunning, atmospheric space that felt perfect for bringing everyone together.

Liayle from our Hull Team was particularly delighted by the Christmas decorations and, after a casual suggestion from FT, also from our Hull Team, Liayle even wrote a jazzy jingle to get us all in the party spirit! This is what makes our team so special — the creativity, the enthusiasm and the joy we bring to each other.

Thoughtful Planning and Careful Budgeting

Cost has been one of the biggest considerations this year. Budget considerations meant we faced uncertainty about whether an event of this scale would even be possible. But Team Voice were determined.After open discussion, the team suggested a ticket contribution model, with each ticket to the event covering a portion of the cost, whilst ensuring real value for money. The result is a carefully balanced plan that allows us to host a fantastic night without compromising our responsibilities.

We are thrilled to invite every member of the Moorview Care Team to a magical evening of food, dancing, entertainment and celebration.

Date: Friday 23rd January 2026

Time: Arrivals from 7.30pm • Carriages at 12.30am

Standard Tickets can be purchased or 'Ticket with Travel' which included outbound and return transport to the event by coach.
