Menopause Awareness: Supporting Menopause at Moorview Care

Menopause is a natural stage of life, yet for many people, it remains something that is rarely talked about openly.
For generations, menopause has often been treated as a private matter — something to simply “get through” rather than something to understand, discuss and seek support for. But staying silent can leave people feeling isolated, confused or even embarrassed about changes that are completely natural.
However, we also need to create a culture where menopause can be discussed respectfully and without making assumptions about people or treating everyone experiencing menopause in the same way. It means creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions and discussing support when they need it.
A little understanding can go a long way.
Over the past year we have been working hard to ensure menopause support is an ongoing conversation and support is being provided to all of our team members who need it. From resource sharing to pledges, we are taking our support one step further by developing our very own Menopause Action Plan!
The Moorview Care Menopause Action Plan will become available on October 18th, World Menopause Day. It will be accessible to all team members and available to the public on our website, in the same place you can find our Gender Pay Gap Report. Our team will also be able to find it on MVCX in the Menopause part of the Wellbeing Hub.
