Dawn’s Journey with Her New Pet, Sooty.

When Dawn decided she would like to get a new pet, she was supported to welcome a little hamster called Sooty into her life. From the very beginning, it was clear that this was going to be something special.

Dawn quickly formed a strong bond with Sooty, smiling as she watches her hide pieces of sweetcorn in her pouch. Dawn proudly says,

“I love her, she’s my little friend and Sooty loves me too.”

Dawn has taken her responsibilities seriously and enjoys caring for Sooty as part of her daily routine. She regularly cleans Sooty’s cage, making sure it is safe, tidy, and comfortable. She is learning to speak quietly so she doesn’t frighten her hamster and has come to understand that Sooty sleeps during the day and is awake at night.
